Austin is one of the weirdest places, but what's new? This weekend was a wonderful one to be in Austin, TX. I'm talking great weather, food, and friends. It started off with a friend that I quickly realized I've known for 6 whole years! My problem was that I didn't realize this until our hangout was over. His name is Steven Fuller and we met through a mutual friend my freshman year of high school. Within the last two years, we have maintained to keep up the same routine. The usual: Torchy Taco's for lunch and Zilker for catch up! Every time Steven maintains to take this exact picture featured. This friendship has been one of the best, full of inside jokes and giggles!
Later on that evening my best friend from Houston came into town for my post-birthday celebrations. Kristyn Wade came in and it was so natural having her around. Friday night my family and her got together and had dinner at the classic: Central Market Cafe. It was polka night. Live music, kids, dancing, the works! My salad was satisfying. Immediately after we went to Amy's Ice Cream and this is what blew everyone's mind: Jacqueline got Fruit Loops flavored ice cream, called Saturday Morning Cartoons. Later on that night Kristyn, Jacqueline, and I played Candyland at one of my favorite coffeeshops in town, Epoch Coffee over on N. West Loop.
We all woke up in the morning to a wonderful Saturday home prepared breakfast. For the last week or so I've been planning this Saturday to being dedicated to a sunny day at the lake's famous Volente Beach Waterpark. It was such a random place to go, but I figured why not take a trip down memory lane and go!? It was just what I needed. Friends, food, and laughs (screams down the Sidewinder)! What really made me sad was that our dear friend Cassandra couldn't make it out! She just had her wisdom teeth removed and yucky bacteria could of gotten in there! We ended the night perfectly, two high school classic movies: Can't Hardly Wait and Clueless! Best friends and slogans. What else could a girl ask for? Well maybe a few other things but that is beside the point. What I got that day was unconditional love and dedication from loyal friends. And that made me happy.
Sunday Morning we all woke up to a treat! My mom surprised (well it might of been Jacqueline?) us with the idea of going out to breakfast! The whole family and Kristyn went out to the newly renovated Kerbey Lane on South Lamar. It was so so so so good. The perfect breakfast. After that we went onto the Bankrupt Roomstore and checked out what they had and tried to see what could or couldn't work in my new apartment in the fall. Well guess what, we bought a dining room table/desk! I am so excited for the future. Then we went to the one and only World Market and bought my new curtains for the living room. I AM SO EXCITED! Everything is falling into place. It was the perfect ending to a lovely weekend.
